I have been successful at connecting to the internet using activesync passthough when my Ipaq 4350 is connected via USB or IR. I am trying to make this work when I am "activesync"ing using WIFI.

At work, my PC is connected via wired ethernet to the internal LAN from which I can access the internet. There is also a WIFI network that sits behind a secure firewall -- you need to VPN access to go beyond the firewall. When I connect with my IPAQ I can see all the other wireless devices on the subnet but I cannot access the internet. But I am able to activesync using WIFI to my computer as I have my wireless card turned on as well.

So back to my question -- how can I access the internet using my ipaq using activesync connected via WIFI ? When I have WIFI turned on, I think the ipaq won't bother to try the activesync connection and tries to access the internet directly.

Hope this makes sense -- it is hard to explain.

Thanks.

It makes sense, but I think that once a connection is established that is the default route. The ActiveSync is secondary. There are ways to change metrics on Windows, but I don't know on Pocket PC.

On the i-mate Pocket PC you can only do this via ActiveSync.
