this has been happening since i got home last night

any thoughts / ideas? - i can connect to other IRC networks with no problems, for example dalnet (shudders!)

I am not sure... I can connect but I can only see some people there. Let's see what cokemaster or brad say about this - they are the the "IRC" guys...

It's working for me, I can see people leaving, joining, talking... I thnk you are missing a lot.

Seriously though, cokemaster and brad commented on this last night.

I still can't get on there. It seems like we can't get to the zIRC servers at all. Either on GZ's Java IRC client or on standalone IRC client.




Internet is my backyard...

I am just talking to JAMMAN on the #geekzone channel and he tells me to use irc.zirc.net instead. Apparently some DNS problems.

There is a welcome message on the IRC server advising of a temporary problem and to use irc.zirc.net rather than irc.zirc.org.

You'd think it was a simple DNS issue that it could be fixed by now, it's almost been 24 hours.

Set your client to connect to:
irc.zirc.org
irc.zirc.net

That way if it can't log in via .org your client should automactically try the other
