It seems Vodafone continues to send traffic to Cloudflare Singapore instead of Sydney as other New Zealand ISP do. This seems to affect users with IP range 203.x.x.x

At the moment Cloudflare Singapore seems to have a problem connecting to our origin servers in Auckland so anyone accessing Geekzone through Vodafone NZ cable may see a timeout message.

Users of other ISPs or those connected via a VPN will not be affected.

I have opened a ticket with Cloudflare to check the connectivity from their servers in Singapore.

vodafone sure do seem to like to route things in odd seemingly non logical ways..

ild hate to be limited to cable from them, been bliss since i moved out and not had to put up with it.

Maybe it was just a once off but I saw a 504 timeout the other day on Snap ADSL. The error page had cloudfare on it.

My traceroute looks like it is going to sydney but maybe that is just a random abbreviation.

The problem in the topic was related to Cloudflare's Singapore node not connecting to our origin server.

It only affected Vodafone users because all other ISPs send Cloudflare traffic to Sydney (39ms). Vodafone is the only sending traffic to Singapore instead (150ms), even though the traffic goes through Sydney on the way there.
