Hey all, I was just browsing around the site and noticed that the ability to subscribe using Bitcoin seems to have gone missing. I'm just curious: am I just looking in the wrong place, or was this actually removed? Thanks!

Yes. It is getting harder to get it into other currencies and large exchanges seem to be crumbling around...

I see. From some quick searches, it looks like something at Mt. Gox may have been used for processing transactions? That's a shame. I always recommended keeping coins away from them, haha. I hope that anyone that's been affected by their incompetence is able to be fairly compensated.

If you still have any interest in accepting Bitcoin, it may be worthwhile to check out Coinbase or BitPay if you haven't already. They would convert XBT to NZD immediately, so you wouldn't take on any added risk for currency fluctuations or unreliable exchanges.

I used other processors but at end of day only had two subs paid with Bitcoin. PayPal is still king.

Only two? Shame, I would have thought that the number would have been (much!) higher on a site like this. Thanks for the replies!

the last bitcoin thread on this forum has one guy concerned that it could be copied (since everything digital can be copied), one guy agreeing, and one guy mentioning tulips. all on the first page

surprised me too

Take a look at zipbit if you decide to set it up again. Local payment gateway, does BTC -> NZD
