I'm a late adopter of this plus one thing. ; ). I see my personal count going up now and then, but I have no clue where (and of course who) those numbers come from. Some plus ones arrive long after I have posted to a relevant discussion and many more pages have been added later I would guess.

An optional plus one notification would work really well for me in achieving this.

Also, is there a way to see only posts that have been plus one'd? in order of most recent?

Similar might have been discussed in a completely unrelated thread a month back. I apologise if some of this has been covered, but could not find that one again.

Thx!

I have already added some functionality to +1 by allowing users to see who voted +1 on an individual post basis.

I will put some coding work towards showing the +1 received in chronological order soon. This will meet your request.
