Occasionally I get PM's requiring action.  Once recently I forgot about following up on one of these.  If I had the ability to flag or mark as unread this would jog my memory nicely.

Thanks freitasm.  I did a couple of quick searches to see if this had been requested recently but didn't come up with a result.

I haven't done the Unread/Read manual flag yet but... Check how the new Messages page work now:

  • You can move messages between your Inbox and Archived lists
  • You can filter Inbox to show unread messages only
  • New Message notification in menu now links directly to Unread Inbox list

Wow that was fast.  Thanks Mauricio.

Just having a quick play with it, I think I would be more inclined to use this functionality if there was a select/unselect all (on the current page of messages) as I can see myself 'archiving all messages except this one' in lieu of flagging messages or marking them as unready for followup.  I'm unlikely to want to bother ticking every message individually.

You probably would Archive messages when reading them... Anyway, adding Follow Up soon.

Ahhh yes I follow you and that makes perfect sense.

And "Follow-up" is in place now.

Wow.  I'm blown away how quickly you've achieve this, Mauricio.  Thank you.

Can you consider one more refinement for me in the future, please.  Currently when you are in the Incoming Messages view, there is no visual cue that there are some items for follow-up.  This visual cue could be:

- Combined Follow-up / Inbox view as the default view when viewing messages.  Followup, followed by Incoming Messages, followed by Outgoing Messages.  (If you are in the Incoming view there is no reminder.)
- A little animated symbol much like the 'you have new mail' icon that sits beside the area "Welcome back Dynamic (logout)"
- Flag beside the subject line of marked messages.

Of those options, I slightly favour the little animated symbol so the reminder is present from any page.  If you also have new unread messages there two symbols would display beside each other.  Clicking on the followup reminder symbol would take you to the "Followup incoming messages" view (or the combined view).

Cheers
Mike

It took me 45 minutes to do the changes... I thought of having an icon up there with the user name, but ran out of time today. Will do it later.
