Why is this channel invite only now?

Jul 18 14:48:21 * Disconnected (Connection reset by peer).
Cannot join #geekzone (Channel is invite only).

Unable to connect : java.security.AccessControlException : access denied (java.net.SocketPermission irc.synirc.org resolve)
