Just wondering if there's anyway of searching for posts by a particular user? I know you can get emailed if there's a reply in
your post but I was thinking more going back and reading replies a while later.

If someone is your friend, and they have enabled it, you can subscribe to RSS feeds for whenever they comment in a forum AFAIK.
