I just wrote a post on the forums and underlined two words. However they didn't appear in the post after I had submitted it.

I'm using Google Chrome browser.

Any other info needed from my end?

(BTW, I've deliberately underlined this entire post to see if it shows up.)

The Underlining was there in my first post until I submitted it. Now it's not there.

Underline is one of the attributes that is removed by TinyMCE after submit because it's actually created as a style, not HTML tag - and style are filtered out.

So you're saying that the Underline button is actually redundant?

Ok, thanks.

Is there any way that you could remove that button?

Underling is the work of the devil, and a sure fire way to make a graphic designer/lay out artist etc. spit and pull their hair out. It might emphasis text, but will also often make it difficult to read.

i.e. is that a capital I or capital L.

OK the font in this forum has serifs on the I, which helps a bit, but there are better ways to stress text.
