I have just tried to submit my first blog (exciting stuff indeed) & due to some technical issue I have been unable to do so. It keeps on saying to choose a category, but when I click on the drop down box, using either Firefox 2.0.0.6 or IE 7.0.5730.11 the categorie options are blank with both browsers.

Also, for some strange reason the bold/hyperlink/img Rich Text Tools do not show up in my Firefox Browser, so I cannot hyperlink links, despite having Javascript enabled & having "change status bar text" ticked, I'm at a loss why tool bar does not appear. Interestingly, the same problem occurs with my IE browser.

If anyone can help, I would be very appreciative. Even if someone just gives me the code to use to make website links hyperlinks & also how to add words different from the website URL, this would be great.

Hi there,

You'll need to create a category,

go here http://www.geekzone.co.nz/user_profile.asp
then click "manage categories"

this will allow you to create categories.

Thank you so much! My first blog posted: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/ZIMsar10/3762

Now all I need is a resolution to the first problem.

I have no idea what it could be. I am just posting this reply with Firefox and I can see the toolbar and the functions... I can only think it's a problem on your PC, seeing that both Firefox and Internet Explorer are not showing the bar... Firewall, AV, Javascript, etc?

The auto URL doesn't work in Firefox because this is one of the functions Firefox does not implement.

It works fine for me and I use an insane amount of scripts on Geekzone to save and log it. remove the gloat, un-needed parts, scripts and trackers so if anyone should be having glitches, should be me..

The TinyMCE has it's moments and it hates mobile devices but overall works well.

BTW< Who made the old one before TINYMCE? cheers.
