Hi.

I was just wondering if I am supposed to do anything special to get email confirmation when posts are made to a topic I am watching?

I was watching http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?ForumId=48&TopicId=16531 this topic for instance and there have been 2 new posts since I chose to watch it and I havent received any emails about it.

Thanks
Steve

Yes, and they are sent immediately. Check your spam folder.

Never mind!
I was expecting a message in my profile to say a reply had been posted. I use the myprofile page to check the forums I have posted to because I do not have vista so I cannot get the geekzone gadget. The email I used to sign up is an auxilliary one I dont check very often.

Thanks for looking

I recommend you use an e-mail address that you can check frequently - we don't send out unsolicited e-mails, so it should be ok.

Note that some discussions can have medium volume of replies during certain time though - so you will get quite a few notifications...

Yes

Thanks for that. I have set the email account up in outlook now and created a new folder for it so I wont miss any more.

Thanks for your time.
