Is this new, or have I just noticed it, or could it be something about changing from a genius black to a genius white router

And if there is someone there seeing ipv6 geekzone logo and running windows 8 please pm as i just need a link tested to confirm or disprove something, I am about to write the complete story of my gripping almost week long struggle with one particular page on the net, and i have isolated the issue to my machine but can't solve it.

The logo has been there for IPv6 connections for years.

Your post did come from an IPv6 address.

If you've just got IPv6 and are having issues with one page there's a fair chance the two are connected! Try disabling IPv6 and see what happens.

Did you disable it via your browser

I have noticed outages on a few sites like the below, which is the geekzone social facebook doohicky plugin that appears in the right hand column of geekzone, obviously facebook is also down, and surprisingly doubleclick the annoying add people, however if I turn ipv6 off in the browser everything comes back.

The server atwww.facebook.com can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed. DNS is the network service that translates a website's name to its internet address. This error is most often caused by having no connection to the internet or a misconfigured network. It can also be caused by an unresponsive DNS server or a firewall preventingOpera from accessing the

This is the page I had issues with, unfortunately turning ipv6 off doen't effect it

I only get three lines of actual output, whereas everyone else (including a virtual machine on my machine) gets a full page

I think a while back I was a significant fraction of the IP6 traffic, before I turned it off...

Depending on your ISP, better off using IPv4. But if you have a problem post in your ISP subforum first.

Unless people start shifting to it, its going to make acceptance and main-streaming much harder. I have run dual stack for the past couple of years with 0 problems... All major websites are now IPv6 enabled.

To be honest I wish more were - e.g. I am on CG-NAT and I think this is causing issues with my Punk-buster. If they support IPv6 it would be fine.....
