Every time I edit a post to correct a typo that I've noticed, suddenly my post has this big fluorescent notification that draws unnecessary attention to it.

Not only is this embarassing for genuine users, but can be abused by anyone who thinks their posts should be the centre of attention.

Would you consider perhaps making this information a bit more discreet?

No one else sees it (except admins I'd imagine)

So, why is it so fluoro then? Why is it there at all? I know I've edited the post, I edited it. If no one else sees it, what is its raison d'etre?

ETA: not that I'm bothered, I just added this comment so I could edit it and remind myself what it looks like...

Perhaps it could be bright yellow like it is now if an admin/mod has edited it, and just say this post has been edited if the poster edited it

The system knows who edited it. Sure it can be done. Let's see when I have some spare time.

It doesn't bother me at all.

I don't care what colour it is, as long as it doesn't flash on and off or bleep at me.

Edit: This post has been edited.

What annoys me more is those who post inside boxes like Macuser above as it doesn't resize when Android browser zooms so the right side isn't visible without scrolling to right.

Why not just plain text like everyone else.

You mean the Answer selected box? That is not of his choice, he didn't select that, don't blame him.

That indicates the reply is a selected answer to the OP.

If that's what it is, sorry for suggesting it was individual thing 😋.

Still found it annoying that it displays differently on my phone though - tended not to read them in past for that reason. Problem is I was missing the answer...

You mean Chrome? The HTC browser reflows it just fine. Chrome is a pain and Google won't add reflow not even as an option.
