As the thread title suggests: underline formatting for text doesn't seem to work. Text can be underlined within the editor using ctrl+u or the editor button... but the underlining disappears when the message is posted.

This text is meant to be underlined.

it seems to work in the quick reply or the reply box but as soon as you hit submit it strips it

IMO it's pretty poor form to randomly underline stuff.

Underlining is for hyperlinks.

Are you implying that I have poor form because I occasionally underline a word or two for emphasis? If so, I don't appreciate your comment. I'm simply reporting a bug that I noticed. Trying to help.

The editor adds underline as a span tag - which our filters remove, while the BBCODE adds it as a HTML tag, which is better and we let go through.
