Hello!

I would like to embedd a widget (some JS code, with an external image and small form feed) on my blog, preferrably along the side, in or under the profile section. It's one of those things that says: "Just copy-and-paste this code onto your web-site..."

Anyway, not being much of a CSS expert, I am wondering how I should go about doing that? I tried to directly add the HTML code to the profile section, but that didn't work out.

What's the right way of doing this? Any help is greatly appreciated...

You can create a "Free List" type and add an item. Make sure you remove any line breaks from the code because these are converted into [BR] tags.

Thank you for the quick response.

However, I'm not certain what you mean with a 'free list' item? Where would I add one of those?

1) Disable Javascript in your browser
2) Go to HTML Source View when you post
3) Paste your widget content
4) Post your entry
5) Enable Javascript in your browser

You should now be able to see the widget.

Sorry Chaks, he wants to add to the sidebar, not the blog post itself.

Foobar, go to your Profile page, Manage Lists, Add a new list, select "Free". Then add an item. There's no rich-text editor on this box, but line feed will be converted to BR tags, so if you don't want this just make sure to remove any line feed from the widget code.

I did the same thing to add the MSN Live Messenger Widget to my blog's sidebar

There is no rich-text editor for the List items - only for the profile item.

Thank you to both of you for your replies!

I tried the way suggested by Mauricio and it works now! Thanks again...
