Google is making it mandatory for sites using their services to present a cookies choice - or risk being banned. This is due to EU laws and cookies. The alternative would be to block traffic coming from any EU member country.

Nothing change. It's just now clear what is stored in the cookies.

I don't know the technical side of how cookies work and how you may block them. There's a little red x at the top of my screen with a tool tip that says "This page was prevented from setting cookies." That's all I know.
