Just a heads up you may see an overlay appearing on some pages asking for your feedback on Geekzone.

Hmm,  would have been nice if it was easier to close. There is no obvious way to get rid of it other than reloading the page it appears on.

Rappelle: Thought it was spam or malware. Was about to get soapy in here.

This..

I'm a geek, a gamer, a dad, a Quic user, and an IT Professional. I have a full rack home lab, size 15 feet, an epic beard and Asperger's. I'm a bit of a Cypherpunk, who believes information wants to be free and the Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it. If you use my Quic signup you can also use the code R570394EKGIZ8 for free setup. Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.

There's a [X] on top right...

Malware wouldn't use the site name - it would be a generic thing. But thanks for noting.

There's a dark grey-on-black "X" in the top-right corner. I didn't do it myself as it wasn't obvious how many questions there were and I spend far too much time doing mandatory surveys in the day job...

Edit: freitasm snuck in and posted while I was typing that :)

*sigh*

Some people post comments that really make me think where humanity is going to.

On my screen (currently), this looks like a very dark gray "X" on a slightly darker gray background.

The "X" appears to be much darker than the rest of the writing, and so would be pretty easy to miss, I'm sure.

It's a survey with a simple question and an open answer. I ask a valid question and some people (the minority so far but a few cases) made a point of giving "0" because "popups like this survey" or "$%#%# [bad words removed] survey"

Seriously, it's something that takes less than 15 seconds and would help the site in general but some people just can't be nice.

Personally I'd say you would have gotten a better result out of a thread saying hey, here is a survey about the site, fill it out if you wish rather than it popping up.
