This is a minor gripe, but it's annoying behaviour. If I want something open in a new tab I'll do it myself, and in my view internal links should never automatically open a new tab.

This is easy to change.

The open in a new tab in the homepage is intentional as it uses a call to refresh the boxes but this one shouldn't be like that.

Nooo..... I'm sure everybody has different preferences but I like the way it works here.  I always open different discussions in new tabs and then I can close that tab once read and return to the forum list.  On the (rare these days) occasions I use news sites I open each "story" in a new tab as well.

So in my opinion Geekzone works the way it should!

If you already open everything in a new tab (presumably a background tab) then this change wouldn't affect you at all.

I also open pages in new background tabs 90% of the time, but sometimes I just want to click directly into a thread. Why should that open a new foreground tab? Internal links should never force open a new tab.
