It disappeared two days before your topic was created...

I have moved it for one big reason: speed. Google CSE (Custom Search) was one of the biggest slowdown in our pages. Also because that script isn't 100% SSL-ready and I want to move to SSL pretty soon. There's a SEARCH option in the menu now, with the same search page as before.

I will also be testing another search engine during the week - you might see it at the bottom right as an overlay. Results may not be very accurate while the site is being crawled.

The search link is new. The search box in all pages is gone.

One thing I would like to see is that when you go to a forum it will only search that forum and not the entire GZ..

I have enabled Swiftype on Geekzone for a testing period. It's a tab at the bottom right with "Search this website".

Results aren't currently accurate as the site is still being crawled.

Working only on Main Page for me; Firefox on OS X. I do use AdBlock, but it's "disabled for geekzone.co.nz".

No blocking here. Does appear to work on the homepage only.
