Hi

I received a whole list of contacts saved as a winword file. The problem is the contacts are all VCF's (vcards) which are embedded on the winword file. How do I get these vcfs into my address book?

Help greatly appreciated.

You can right-click each .vcf icon in this Word document and select “Package Object” | “Activate Contents”.

This will start the program that handles .vcf, in most cases Microsoft Outlook or Palm Desktop and show the contact information. Then just save it.

This is quicker than saving each .vcf and them opening from the hard drive.

Thanks. I tried doing that, right clicking, and then on Object, but I get the following erroR: this object is corrupt or no longer available. Any way to fix this?

It means the author inserted the object but did not include the file. Word is expecting the .vcf on disk. The only way is asking the author to create another file or send the individual .vcf files.
