As per title, what is the best way to request a thread title change?  Topics often naturally evolve (rather than going OT), and the thread title sometimes is no longer the best descriptor.  An example is the Lightbox Subscription thread - http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=171&topicid=190896 - which has taken on more of a general discussion on subscriptions.

Send a PM to a moderator. Every forum page has the moderators' linked at the bottom.

could you not just report the post and ask for the title to be changed?

Well that was one option I thought of, so I thought I'd ask for the best method

You can report someone else's topic but not your own - so if you want your own topic changed you have to contact a moderator, otherwise reporting is an option.
