Edit: manual edit disaster zone today..
Unsure if relevant but I replied today and I could see that the post I replied to was full of formatting code
The way the tag was it wouldn't "hide" the edit button. You have one hour to edit the post, after this the edit button disappears.

Mods have an EDIT POST option in a [Mod Options] menu under the [Options] menu on the left side. I could put an EDIT POST there so if anyone ever have this problem there's an alternative.
