The way the tag was it wouldn't "hide" the edit button. You have one hour to edit the post, after this the edit button disappears.

Yeah the long link was pushing out the edit button to the far right. My Chrome mobile platform cannot display the edit button in that scenario. Sometimes I can use 'request desktop' to get it back, but in extreme cases it's gone forever until the page is fixed.

Mods have an EDIT POST option in a [Mod Options] menu under the [Options] menu on the left side. I could put an EDIT POST there so if anyone ever have this problem there's an alternative.

This is good. But you will also have to enable the standard options menu for user's own posts. It has been disabled for some time. Maybe because I was using it to report my own posts for editing because I could not see the edit button. ; ).
