I keep noticing from comments that many GZ members are not located in NZ. Is there data on this? Just curious what the proportion of NZ vs non-NZ residents is. I would imagine people all over the world find GZ as useful as we do.

Thanks for the link. According to that, New Zealanders seem to be very much in the minority as far as sessions go, which is interesting. I can't see if they are also a minority of members.

This is the problem with data - too much and people get lost.

The data in the Geekzone Power BI Dashboard is raw and you have to know what to look for. The Google Analytics data there is everything since 2006. In our early days New Zealand was not a real technology inclined nation. The majority of web users were from the USA and we had a huge audience there.

That data also shows that Internet Explorer is 37% of all sessions. But... Check the box for 2005 and you will see that last year New Zealanders were responsible for 67% of the sessions and Internet Explorer went down to 14%.

Check the box for 2016 alone and this year so far New Zealanders are 75% of the sessions and Internet Explorer is gone even lower to 11%.

So, yes. Data is good and bad if you don't look at it from the right side.
