I was trying to do a search but loading the search page shows nowhere to actually type what I want to look for. It loads fine in Chrome.

Ok, just got home and tested on FX 47.01, all working ok.

Just tried it on mine FF47.0.1 and with adblock plus enabled I dont get the search bar. Click on adblock and choose disable on this page and the search bar appears

Weird, thanks for the heads up. I could have sworn I disabled ad-block. I'm a subscriber so hopefully my use of such nefarious technologies isn't frowned upon by our benevolent leader/s...
