Hi

This is getting really annoying and frustrating, i open the main forum page, and i may get distracted with another tab, site, kids, wife, tv etc and i come back some time later, maybe 15mins to an hour and the forums has somehow decided to make its self as read.

This is annoying from the fact ive been at work for the last 36 hours so havent read any posts and want to start reading from where i left off yesterday morning. but now i have to manually go through every thread and find the newest post.

why does the forum mark its self as read when its not been read? or i havent used the "mark forum read" button.

Thanks

Do you have the option to keep your account logged in checked?

I have this problem from time to time. If I start going through the forums opening the threads I'm interested in in a new tab but then get destracted (eg by starting to read some of the threads I've opened) then I sometimes reach a point where I open a forum and none of the threads are marked as having new messages but I can tell from the last post date that they are indeed new messages that I haven't read.

^ Also happens to me on occasion, FWIW I stay logged in, use the device on two computers and always use Opera latest version 48.0 at the moment.  I just made the assumption the read works on forum lists rather than on individual topics, being aware it does this means it doesn't bother me too much any more.

The other thing that can happen is if I change devices (after not using the laptop for a few days) the laptop might see threads I read days and days ago on the PC as unread.  Again not really a big deal for me as am aware it does it.
