Wondering if there'd be any support for a sub-forum here on geekzone about drones, to discuss manufacturers, models, and their use in NZ? These are becoming hugely popular, especially with more affordable models such as the DJI Spark, and there is a lot of NZ-specific information to take in (such as rules around where you can fly) that can be read on sites such as Airshare but haven't found anywhere really for users to discuss or ask questions in a community. Geekzone seems like a logical place to have one?

Cheers!

would there be enough discussion to justify one?

why not just use the Gadgets, robotics, home automation, electronics (including wearables) one?

Well, this is a growing ‘geek’ topic. Sure we could use that other forum but nobody new to Geekzone looking for a forum about drones in nz is going to think to use it.

We have existing sub-forums that seem much more niche... like Quickflix and TiVo. Shouldn’t we keep up with the times?

Maybe when we see a few threads a day or enough interest? I would prefer to avoid forum proliferation.
