Thanks for your reply.
Actually, I am not a techie, so I would not have a clue how to use UML!
I have been using excel to size the market etc and project customer nos. etc for different products. I wanted to know if there was a simpler way to do this.

It appears you already mention MS Excel. Generally I do most of my modelling in Excel, so I suppose I am not really helping you. Why is Excel no longer useful?
