I seem to recall that there is a requirement for certain length of membership or number of posts before photos can be posted on GZ - is that correct? Just spent 30 mins searching FUG and the rest of the site but can’t see anything. Maybe I’m wrong?

I would have thought over 3500 posts would qualify as long enough :-)

If there was a requirement, you would have met it and then some by now.

Post away says I.

I’m not asking for myself - for someone I know who is relatively new and having trouble.

There's no minimum requirement. The maximum size is 2 MB per image. That's all.

Thanks MF. No wonder I couldn’t find anything.

@eracode: I just have to ask - is that "BoJo for PMUK" under your avatar for real or ironic? (And, either way, is this site the place for it?)

It’s serious and TIC. Why does it bother you?

Thanks but I wasn’t asking about file sizes - I was asking about who qualifies to post photos. Turns out everyone does.

Just feels like totally unnecessary political advertising and something that's not in keeping with the general tenor of the site.

Seems to me it's much more appropriate to see overtly political statements on the politics forum on GZ, as opposed to everywhere you post.

It has to be https or it won't show as our pages have code that instrucs browsers to ignore non-https content.

Actually, harder. Upload to Geekzone. There's a button for that under every reply/topic page.

Definitely not advertising - just a bit of fun.

f12. paste into geekzone.

I'll admit, i often also direct paste but that has been seen to fail sometimes.

Uploading photos using those menus is so dated... and 2mb files are barely enough to see text in this 4K 40MP camera world we are in ;)
