I think I asked this before but I don't recall the reason.

URL's sent out by GZ being read by the Gmail app on Android have the URL links as plain text. I can't say I have extensive experience with different sites sending our URL's bu for me anyway, it's only GZ mails that are broken. And it doesn't have to be going to a Gmail address - just using the Android Gmail app.

Is this fixable? I had hoped to move all my emails to using the Gmail app but it's annoying when GZ mails are broken

Is this for forum topic updates or something else?

I get forum updates via Gmail for Android and the links work fine for me.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Using the gmail android app for a long time on different devices. Never seen it.

Is your mail processed by a personal server or different server to Google before you get it in Gmail?

My mail is handled by zoho.com. If I use an app like Typeapp the links are fine.  If however I use the Gmail app (talking IMAP to Zoho) the links become plain text.

It's hard to check what happens if the GZ links go to a Gmail account since I would then have to change the email on my account.

Must be some weird combination of zoho and Gmail

That's some weird thing between Zoho and Gmail. Try using Outlook. So much better than GMail.

Zoho support attention required imo.

It used to be common to strip links from email or convert email to plain text. Somewhere in my brain says this was more common with IMAP. It's possible there's a specific option on either end inducing this partial side effect.

OK switched to Outlook for my main email account. The links are okay now. They were okay also in my favourite client Typeapp but for some reason that app is putting send emails in my inbox and that is very confusing hence looking for a different client. Will see how this goes. But when I start a new work assignment I will be using Outlook for Office 365 so I hope this doesn't get too confusing.
