Sorry I don't know if I should be able to do this. Is there something wrong?

Nothing wrong.

Anyone can set a reply as an answer - we assume the user doing so is doing it right.

I do most of my browsing on a small tablet scrolling with my right thumb. Set answer is a frequent bullseye. Some sites seem to deliberately put a lot of their click bait in the same real estate.

If it's wrong someone will generally unset it anyway. Seems to work pretty well.

I'm glad this came up...not because I was unsure of the setting of answers, but because I have found out that several (if not all) replies can be set as "Answer."

Yes, multiple can be answers - if one complements the other. If you see something wrong you can also remove the "Answer".

Just wondering how many times most of the responses in this thread have been set and then unset as answers multiple times...

The trick is to do it ‘Jeopardy’-style - set the answer before you know the question.
