This morning I was thinking as I recieved an email on my iPhone from GeekZone saying that i had a reply to a thread I was watching.

When it opened, I was thinking if Geekzone had a website optimised for a mobile device.

Because I encountered an error while on the website.

I could view everything fine (I say fine, because there was a lot of zooming etc. needed), and when it came to compose a reply, it failed, and im assuming its because on this field (the one im typing in), havent had this problem before.

Anyways, my main reason for posting this was to ask, Is there, or will there be a mobile optimised site for GeekZone?

cheers guys,

Aaron

Possibly. But if you want to use it on an iPhone now just uncheck the option "Use Rich Text HTML Editor" in your User Profile...

[joke]

Wasn't the iPhone the device created to show the Internet as it is?

haha, very true.

I just hate having to do all the zooming etc.

If I could get away with not doing it, then thats what I would do.

But until whenever. I'll have to sit tight.

Just a question though, was there ever a thought about optimising a geekzone (m.geekzone.co.nz) website for mobile devices?

... and we're awaiting the site improvement, which doesn't rely on tables - and making it more flexible by using CSS.

And we won't be starting working on this until we have the new server in place. An announcement will come to the frontpage with planned downtimes shortly.
