Geekzone pages seem very slow to load today. Is it just me or is something going on?

Noted here too, on Spark

Reading pages is fast on 2degrees fiber, but posting comments is a bit slower.
The Geekzone Live topics are not loading initially, but appear a few seconds later.

A bit of database work done this morning, causing caches to be invalidated and warm up again. It will get better with a bit of time.
Nothing to see here, tovarisch. Carry on.

I'm seeing page load times for https://live.geekzone.co.nz/ in the tens of seconds, and the left side of the page not loading at all, combined with the occasional 500 error. Anyone else seeing the same?
Odd... posted a reply and took forever to do anything.... then come back and post not here.
Anyway... what I posted.

Bare in mind @xpd Spark don't peer with Cloudflare so your traffic goes all the way to either Singapore or Japan: https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=39&topicid=242084
I personally get around 12.5ms to Cloudflare:

Sorry folks. This morning's problem was a backup taking longer than usual to create a VSS snapshot. I've stopped the backup and since it was slow anyway I decided to go full on with a Windows Update.

+1. Just wasn't sure if it was just me
michaelmurfy:Geekzone is still not quite at 100% speed, but a heck of a lot faster than yesterday.
You've probably got access to a lot more data about server load etc, but it seems a lot more problematic this morning than yesterday.
Perhaps there's a virus involved - GZ might need a couple of weeks quarantine and an N95 mask 😆
For more context. A few weeks ago I was working on some tables and decided to remove an index. After lots of data collection I came to the conclusion the index was actually one of the important ones for the topic thread management so I decided to re-add it last night. You can see the result here (last night when I re-created the index):

This morning, as mentioned above, was a VSS snapshot creation from a VM backup. Since I had to apply Windows Update, I decided to end the backup, and restart everything for this.
It should be a bit better now.
