Has something changed with the captcha? I'm getting it almost every day at the moment and if I change from phone to PC.

There was an event yesterday that made us change up a gear in all our defences. Depending on the network you are accessing from, the browser you are using, your activities around the site you will see this.
Are these captcha on this connection you used to post this topic? I will PM you the findings.

Yes, this is my home connection. It's a static IP.
I got captcha the post before this one. I also got it yesterday on the same connection and on my phone as well (at home on wifi).
The captcha has a specific life - it only lasts a certain amount of time. I have changed this now to make it last a bit longer.

Hmm, couldn't post the above with the URL as link. Kept getting the captcha thing. Clicking on the check box (yes, I am human) just brought up a small spinning disk above the check box. Just kept spinning ... Tried about 6 times with the same result. Above posted as I accidentally did not have the URL as a link. Trying to edit it to add the link got me back to the captcha > spinning disk sequence.
It does a "browser check" meaning it checks whether a program is making a call or a browser.
It could be getting confused by some add-on.
I’ve quoted the above that were in Politics forum, I also got it this mourning post where it came up bad IP, health forum and wouldn’t even display a captcha.
It said I may have a virus in my browser etc, and had cloudflare logo on it.
I was on my IPad Pro, using the safari browser and also have static IP with 2degrees so don’t see how could be virus in browser.
I checked what is my IP and it showed correct static, and then posted two minutes later on same equipment, browser and post went straight through.
Just providing information, seems to be working fine now. I’m posting this on same iPad.

I got this today as well, on Firefox 80.0.1 (auto updates on)
Every other time recently, I've had the Captcha rigmarole.
Seems to be a Firefox 'feature', I posted from 'New edge' on the same PC without any issues
:(
We have made checks more stringent since the recent DDoS event. I constantly change the levels. Some browsers will set off some flags, more than others. This is likely based on the signatures used during that event. The captcha has a "Time to live" (TTL) and if you successfully pass a test it shouldn't bother you again for some time - on that browser.

I just got it now in the 2degrees post, pictures came up on IPad this time, had to swipe for second screen of pictures. Trucks vs Bus’s.
I passed the test though, see how long until next time. Cheers.
Sort of related ..
any truth that the captcha images are mostly related to cars, streets etc because google is using this to train its AI for self driving cars ?

Cloudflare is not using the Google reCaptacha - switched to another provider months ago. People assume things too much.
