Sometimes I feel like geekzone doesn't want people to use the blog system. I always have to click hundreds of links before I find the add post button.

That would be great, but even just a link from 'Blogs' page may be? After all, if someone wants to post to his/her blog, that would be the first that comes to mind after logging in ... which is to find a link that says 'Blog', 'My blog', etc and expect to find 'Add blog post' from there ...
