How about adding/enabling an option to attach an opinion poll to a post, like in other BBs such as phpBB or Invision?

Can you give an example of why you would want it? What would be asked?

Personally, I would rather ask for everyones opinion. That way you can tell if their choice of a,b,c or d, is based on an informed decision, or if people are just ticking a box because they can.

^ Well, let the users have the choice where to post an opinion poll or whether to just ask for everybody's opinion.

A poll would be useful if you want to get a quick glance at the overall user's opinion, instead of having to sift through many pages, trying to summarize everyone's opinion manually.

For instance, consider a poll for "Which AntiVirus are you using" or "Which browser are you using". I've seen plenty of such polls on other tech sites, why not have one for GeekZone?

A poll at the top of a particular topic would be handy.. if you don't want to drop in your 2 cents, you can just quickly vote.

I think we need a poll on whether we should have polls...

Personally I don't think polls are that useful.
