Ok - next idea - keep a place to easily get to pictures posted by users - that HTPC show and tell thread was kind of neat. I envisage something along the following lines:

HTPC
Gaming PCs
Home Network/Automation
Car Tech
Off Topic

Maybe they are subforums off a 'System Picture' main forum.
