I have noticed something lately that is becoming irritating. Previously, I was able to just hit the "Back" button in IE7 to return to the previous page. Now that no longer works.  When I select the IE7 drop down (i.e. recent history) option, I see a link to http://wd.sharethis.com/share3x/lightbo... in the history immediately between the current page I am browsing and the previous geekzone page.  That link effectively stops me from hitting the Back button to get to the immediate previous geekzone page.

Is this something that has been introduced to geekzone and if so, can it be removed or at least controlled by a profile option - or am I the only one experiencing this?

PS An update: This behaviour only happens when a message is selected from within any forum. That link does not appear when a forum is selected.  In addition, the link only appears once in the short history. Once a forum is selected the previous links that appeared in that list are all removed!

Cheers Mike

All working fine for me... Tested with multiple browsers and had no problems.

Do you have ad blocking software enabled?

Ah - no ad blocking software on this machine. OK let me get that sorted first and try again.

Cheers and Thanks

Sharethis.com looks to be content management/sharing site that consolidates links and stuff onto 1 page.

the /lightbo tells me its maybe a lightbox plugin, which displays images in its own js window

Whatever is was it was a true pain. I installed IE7Pro and added that site to its filters and its back to normal now.

Yes, but that's why I asked if there's an ad blocker. Or a personal firewall blocking it. Or one of those antivirus that create a transparent proxy. Or something similar. I think something in his PC is interfering, because I tested in a few machines around here and can't see this problem.

Well the problem does not appear on my home PC using IE8 without ad-blocking and anti virus in place. Earlier I was at work. IE7Pro resolved the problem but only by enabling Ad-Block. At work there are all kinds of firewalls and anti-virus tools in place (as you would expect), but that link still got through.

Could be a local issue on my work PC of course.

Since this happened at work I would say they have a transparent proxy somewhere...

Yes that could very well be the case Mauricio. The problem is fixed now (with the IE7Pro add on) so I am happy again.

Thanks for your help.
