take the following example:

(chakkaradeep) RT @Paulz0r: CONFIRMED: Windows 7 To RTM July 13th: Through our sources close to Microsoft, we can now confirm that the Windo.. http://tinyu... (3-JUL-2009 16:01)

When you click the URL link you get directed to http://tinyu I assume that this is because the geekzone status field is shorter than the twitter message limit.  If so, can we please look to increase the size of this field?

Alternatively, chakkaradeep could be forced to put his tinyurls at the start of his tweets....

Nope. Look at his original post on Twitter and you will see it's truncated at the source. The Geekzone Twitter integration is fine.

Chaks wasn't careful enough when doing the RT and cut the message.

doh. "your post wasnt accepted due to bad language" or somthing similar....

what i tried to say was that i went to check twitter but tweetdeck has been crashing out on me regularly the last couple of days and i made the assumption (obviously wrong, sorry) that it must have been a short field. it does 'look' kinda small up there on the screen ;)

chakka's fault, bill him ;)

Oops, Sorry about that! This is what happens when you (re)tweet in the middle of the conference using a mobile client! Yes, the client truncated the URL and thus it lead to nowhere! Embarassed

This has nothing to do with Geekzone twitter integration  Smile

Chaks

Or as they would have said in Roman times - purgamentum init: exit purgamentum.
