This has happened twice on my laptop and once on my desktop.

After i've closed off IE when a geekzone page is loaded, i get hundreds of new browser windows opening one after the other....it just keeps going untill i turn off my computer. It loads up the previous geekzone page i was viewing over and over again.

Anyone else experienced this? I thought it could have been a worm/virus, but it's occured on two different computers and only while on geekzone.

Any ideas?

I've seen this happening on Windows 7 and it was an IE 8 bug... But haven't seen for a while.

sorry dont know the answer for an IE issue,
an alternative is to try the firefox browser from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/
2 addons that are useful for firefox are:
NoScript http://noscript.net/ and
adblock plus https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865

I'm using IE 8 at the moment, might give firefox a go and see what happens then.

I don't use adblock software - but sometimes they cause more trouble than good... Probably not on Geekzone, but there are some sites that just don't work well when those are running.

Scan for malware/spyware with malwarebytes and start using a better browser like Chrome or Firefox.
