There seem to be a few bugs or missing features in the editor. For instance, strikethrough underline, and colours don't work. Specifically, the HTML for them is removed when the post is made or updated. Actually, since those are all implemented with the span tag, it seems it's that which is the issue. The font tag is also removed.

This is intentional. Can you imagine what it would look like if everyone could change fonts and colours?

For example:

HELP! I bought a NCKlA E71 and it looks fake. How can I be sure? I hate the seller.

Fair enough, it's just that it used to be possible. Strikethrough is handy though, why can't we have that? And is it not possible to remove the icons whose functions are disabled?

Not sure if this is relevant Freita but the editor seems to add extra spaces to my replies when posting from Safari.

If I post from Firefox it's fine

OS X 10.5.8

Safari 4.0.3 (5531.9)
Firefox 3.5.2

If you want me to I can put my problem in a new thread if you like :)

Thanks. Yes, the problem is that the editor uses the browser capabilities for some editing. As we know each browser holds the TRUE standard. That means no browser is actually good enough...

I'm not too worried about it TBH.

I can use Firefox to post :)

It's just that iTunes 9 has just come up and I'm trying to get update with my forum reading which means I have zillion tabs open at once :)

Say if I do make a post should I put it in the Geekzone forum or the Mac user forum ?
