If you're in New Zealand (even better if around Wellington), look for the Geekzone mobile... I've just bought new personalised number plates for my car: GEEKZ1 (GEEKZONE). How much fun is that?

No I don't have Bluetooth in my car - although I'm waiting for Chrysler New Zealand to bring one U-connect kit to install and test it.

The U-Connect is a handsfree kit from Mopar, and like the ones on BMW, Lexus and Audi you can receive the calls on your mobile phone and control it from some dashboard controls - pretty cool... But still waiting.

You see the thing with Bluejacking is that the receiving side has to be in discoverable mode. Sony Ericsson mobile phones only go to discoverable mode if you set it on, and only stay like this for three minutes. So there's no surprises there.

Nokia phones, on the other hand, can be in discoverable mode all the time, without the owner knowing it.

unless your using palm Os.
The TTs first accept the entire file, and then ask if you wish to save it.
this makes a DOS attempt pretty darn easy. just send a huge file a few times.

suppose most people leave BT off when the palm's off, but you can change to always on.
Or you might turn it on your self, and then the annoying person @ the bar starts sending memos again...
.................

but i'm OT now.

taniwha: Do you have Bluetooth in your car?

On this subject, talked to Chrysler today. Apparently they can't find stock of Chrysler UConnect anywhere in the world. in the meantime they'll try a Parrot DriveBlue (which is the same one used on BMW). I'm a candidate to have one installed - let's see when it arrives in New Zealand.
