I am having a problem changing the email address on my profile.

When I click update to save changes it sends me an email to my new email address on gmail. However when I click onthe verification link it just takes me back to the profile page with my current email address, so I'm stuck in a loop.

Would appreciate any help with this issue. TIA

Update it again, when you click on the email link to the email you just nominated.

The email link, is to authorise the updating of your email address. So until you enter it a second time, it is not updated.

Correct. You enter the email the first time and you get an encoded link - click on that link and open the page (still with the old email address) where you enter the new email AGAIN. This will confirm that the email you are entering is yours (or at least you can receive messages there) BEFORE you change anything - otherwise we would lose the old one, right?
