Anyone else been redirected to the forum index after clicking post reply? I have a couple of times this week on different machines and on different connections.  I think all times I was using Firefox, maybe Chrome once too.

Each time the reply wasn't saved to the thread.

Old thread about similar issues was here but it's locked:

Yes, I saw this once myself. It's a 500 Error and I am looking into it to find more.

I saw the 500 this morning when trying to get to this thread from the rss feed in Google reader.
it's bad news
I have also been redirected to the forum index after clicking post reply, I think it was because I used a band word because when I changed it to something more pc, it worked.

That 500 error happens if the URL is malformed and is not related to this problem. Sometimes Google Reader seems to make things "ugly" (specially their new goo.gl URL short service).

I hit F5 and it worked no worries.

The link from reader looked like this http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?ForumId=4&topicid=57538
Googles feedburner has the URL looking like this http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/GeekzoneForumsLatestPosts/~3/A9_N3L1NAPM/forums.asp

I think it could be feed burning and not the so called ugliness of Googles reader, which doesn't use the goo.gl url shortner.

But both are working now.

Feedburner, Google Reader, they are all Google services. The "feedproxy.google.com" is adding some stuff on the first time a link is followed - I've seen this in the goo.gl service as well.

Happened about 100 seconds ago, about 15 seconds before I posted in the smoking thread.

Ragnor, check your timezone settings in your profile. All post times look ok to me.

That's probably because I restarted the server at that time. Sorry.

Haha false positive!

Was there anything in the server logs for ~3pm on the 21st?
