That is no fun I also wanted to have a poke at Zico V. Wannabe Geek baiting should be considered a national sport.

Not fair - paradoxsm and cokemaster got to have a go!

Yes, yes... You know the policy here: we have forum usage guidelines, and depending on the severity of the problem caused users can be banned, and if it's really bad IP addresses are banned too.

Even if you posted anything there before the thread was locked, it wouldn't be visible to this specific user anymore...

freitasm: ..... and if it's really bad IP addresses are banned too.

Problem with most New Zealand users (with the exception of cable users and a few 'special' connections ) is that they are using non-static IPs... they potentially just need to disconnect and reconnect - giving them a new IP.

You could always ban the range but that would be overboard.

Without going too deep into this, I found out it was a static IP address and actually a proxy server - the whole company is now blocked.

[evil]Excellent.[/evil]

It wouldn't happen to be related to that poor corporate that we 'geeks who are naked in front of the computer on Friday nights' were 'slagging off' in the other thread?

Pity it affects everyone in the company even the honest users thanks to one bad apple. Can you not just block that one acount setup on GZ.

I can remove the IP from the block list - the account is already locked. But we need to find out why this kind of stuff happened.

I really, really regret this happening. I didn't know it was a proxy server and would affect many more people. But this person should be in the know - this is not his/her kindergarten to play.

I am out in the CBD now, but will change the IP block list later after lunch.

Am I the only one that thought Zico's posts were actually pretty funny?

I agree I thought they were funny too. I was naked in a darkened room with the curtains shut with only the soft subtle glow from my 19" LCD......
