Instead of these files loading in the background firefox is asking me if I want to open of save these files.

I'm guessing it's something to do with the facebook scripts. Seems to happen every time I load them.

It may be ad-related. I'm not getting that in Safari, but I have ads turned off.

Nope, like.php is certainly related to the Facebook stuff. My bet is you are on a ISP with a transparent proxy and they are modifying headers somehow.
