What would you want from it? What you need to remember, is Geekzone is a business, not just a website, with news and a forum.
Whatever is done here, must add value to the site, improve user experience, and make the BDFL lots of money ;) I do not see how a podcast would add value to geekzone, though I am sure you could take Mauricio's blog, covert it to audio, and call that a podcast? :P

I listen to the AussieGeek Podcast - issued every 1-2 weeks. Quite interesting and informative, and a quite a bit of fun ...

I think we don't have podcasts simply because I don't personally listen to podcasts, so really never thought seriously on having one.

But I think that podcasts are easier to consume than going onto a website. I petition for a Geekzone Podcast!!!

Id rather watch a UStream broadcast of GZ users giving reviews etc of equipment :) And have chat hours using Skype, get the occasional healthy debate going "on the air" ;)

What would such a podcast contain?

Maybe the concept could be say a weekly 1hr phone conference that any users are welcome to join in on to talk about g33ky stuff. This could then be put online as a podcast.

I follow a weekly phone conference called VUC (VoIP Users Conference) thatuses this format and it works well. There is also an IRC chat at the same time.

Yes, that could work. I can host LiveMeetings and record them...
