I was thinking about hosting an on-line chat event... Who would be interested in joining in a scheduled chat with other Geekzoners, and possibly some guests?

This would be with an on-line chat tool, I am investigating one at the moment.

Any suggestions for topics? It would be a one hour session, with suggestions from participants, advices from guests and a Q&A at the end.

Worth doing it? Would you invite a friend to attend?

Sounds like a good idea. If the time were convenient then I'd join in, although it may be difficult to find a time that would suit everyone.

I'd be interested but I'd need to get ADSL connected first before I'd join ... dialup hell is unbarable even while waiting for ADSL to be connected.

IRC with a java client on the website is pretty common.

Although if I did join in, I suspect I'd lurk quietly in the background for the most part.
