I just implemented this feature on a site i made and thought it would work really well on Geekzone.
Basically instead of quoting the whole post made by someone - if you highlight some text in a post then click quote only the selected text gets quoted. It's really is to implement, just a little javascript.

I often see people just quoting part of a post so this would make this easier.

That would be very handy.

The quote tags on GZ aren't hard to use....but I'm up for anything that's easier and faster.

I usually just quote the post and manually remove the bits that I don't need...

It's not big a deal. *lol*

It's not a big deal. But I'm all for making things easier.

Or the alternative <YoureHoldingItWrong>Not That Big of Deal</YoureHoldingItWrong> :-)

It would be handy especially when quotes are used inside other quotes as it can be messy to get the right quote from the right person.

Have sometimes chopped out the wrong name when the quotes within quotes are several layers deep.

I think this would be a great idea. It's frustrating when people quote while posts when they are only referencing one bit. I always edit the quoted text to just keep the relevant bit in but this way sounds loads easier and more mistake proof than picking your way through the code.
