I have started using the 'latest discussions in all forums' email subscription.

The table of contents in bullet point form which contains the subject line of each new discussion posted, and links to a summary heading in the email for each post. The summary has the posted date and time and a repeat of the subject line.

This is kind of ok if you just want to open just one item, but when you want to open multiple items the result is either a lot of scrolling or a lot of use of the back button.

Having a compact list in a small font with 'Subject line' + 'time' would work for me.
