Geekzone was offline for a time this evening, so I searched google to get a geekzone article from the Google cache.

The 'cache' link has moved from the search results, into the flyout preview at the side, but results for geekzone do not have a cache link.

Were GeekZone results ever cached by Google? did this change?

Geekzone results were never cached by Google. This has been the setting since we started.

I was trying to find a google cache of geekzone as well because I was trying to find the URL of the live streaming of the NZTechPodcast.

I was probably looking in the wrong place, but I couldn't find anything on google that would give me the live audio stream link.

We don't publish the URL on Geekzone: it's given during the chat, as it may change from time to time.

That's what I suspected. All good.

Interesting timing for an outage, might I add.

Why is that? I tend to work during the day... Wednesday is our busiest day of the week and there is an Apple launch coming, so I decided to have it done before then...

I was sincerely joking. Smile
No malice intended.

It was worth it though, even though geekzone always loaded lightning fast, it is definitely noticeably faster now.
Good work!!
